WATER REPORT:

Marsha reported that Julie Stone and Barbara Fischer were expressing their concerns for the summer irrigation use off the domestic water system. They would like the Board to be diligent in encouraging residents to think of others domestic water needs when irrigating outside. Odd and Even watering days are appreciated by the Ridge Place residents as long as the residents abide by it.

Ray Smith reported that the system produced 3 million gallons last month and 300,000 went through the meters. The residents are on Odd and Even watering days corresponding with their street numbers. No watering on weekends. Ray is going to introduce blending the water on Mother’s Day weekend.

The pumping system for the water tank had not been reaching the maximum pressure (40-45 psi) for Ridge Place until the whole system was pressurized first. Their pressure was running approximately 15 psi until the whole system was up first. The older pump seems to be failing and is not pumping for optimum performance. Ray would like to replace 2 pumps and put in 2 variable speed pumps to pump 60 psi for $5500. Replacing the check valves needs to be done as well for around $1800. He is asking for approval to spend $7500 on upgrades. The Board agreed to do the upgrades in order to get the system pumping the optimum psi to its customers.

ROADS:

The mag chloride application will be done on May 31st. Donna is showing Rich Meier how to operate the grader and water truck. Donna’s availability is not always opportune for the mag application. It is time to start training another operator for the grader and water truck. Bonds Construction brought out a roller to use on the roads.

WATER TANK COMMITTEE:

Jack reported that Rex Emenegger talked with the County and found out that a CLASS II application will need to be completed in order to do another tank for the district. The County’s calendar is now booked thru October, so it is not too soon to begin the process. He has a meeting with Juanita Sauvage on Tuesday, May 21 at 1:30 pm to find out the particulars needed for the process.

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned AT 8:00 pm.
